Jean Bugatti with the Bugatti Royale

Since Ettore and his brother, Jean Bugatti started delivering cars in 1909 Bugatti has been associated with perfection, luxury and refinement. The most famous car they created was the Bugatti Royale which is still considered to be one of the most luxurious ever built.

The level of luxury is soon to be replicated by Bugatti's first steps into the perfume industry. Just as the 'boss' Ettore Bugatti personally presented and delivered his automobiles to clients at the Chateau Saint Jean in Molsheim all those years ago, this time around the Domaine de la Vingette was the location for the reveal of the Veyron 16.4, a car with a maximum speed of 300km/h and a consumption of 40 liters for 100km. At the event Bugatti also presented their perfume for men, a fragrance in perfect harmony with the identity and values of the brand.

The Prestige Edition

The traditions live on through the exclusive 'Prestige' and 'Multiple' Editions which retail at £2,395.00 and 1,550.00 respectively. The most expensive perfume we have ever stocked, these editions also come in the most opulent packaging ever seen at Escentual. A ring shaped stand replicates the curves of a classic Bugatti and holds in the fragrance bottle with magnets. The Eau de Parfum 'Multiple Edition' is coated with chrome and the 'Prestige edition' with 24 carat gold. The Prestige edition also encases a bottle made of pure crystal.

The 'Prestige' Editions are limited to a mere 400 numbered pieces, and the 'Multiple' Editions to just 4000 worldwide. These sought after pieces are only stocked in selected, prestigious retailers which have been approved by Bugatti themselves.

The Edition Luxe

Creed have decided to release a Limited Edition 'Love in White Gold 250ml' and a 'Gold Leather Refillable 75ml Atomiser' for the UK and Ireland.

This is the first time Creed have released a Limited Edition Fragrance in the UK and due to high demand they only have 100 pieces of each available for the whole of the UK market. The unique Creed 250ml flacon has been beautifully printed with the famous Creed feathers in gold with a gold leather piece covering the glass top.

Lacoste's 'Red' and 'Touch of Pink' were hugely successful when they launched, and have continued to grow in popularity.

Lacoste are soon to release limited edition versions of these fragrances for 2007.

'Style in Play,' the popular male fragrance has now got its own Spring variation - 'Hot Play.'

Inspired by the original haute couture jewellry, Yves Sant Laurent are offering three heart shaped variations on some of their classic fragrance bottles.

'Opium', 'Cinema' and 'Paris' are all going to be available in the limited edition bottles which are decorated with the Yves Saint Laurent signature and accessorised with a satin ribbon.

These would make a great mothers day gift, re-inventing her favourite fragrance for the special occasion.

La Perla have responded to customer demand by re-releasing their classic fragrance in the original bottle from 20 years ago just in time for Valentines day. 'La Perla Eau de Parfum Intense' is being released in a limited edition 'Jewel' edition which comes in a beautiful presentation box with atomiser. Last year the Marc Jacobs Splash range proved very popular from its release date. Combining a distinctive fragrance with incredible value, the 300ml bottles proved that an Eau Fraiche can prove to be extremely desirable with customers.

Marc Jacobs are building on the popularity of 'Rain,'  its best selling fragrance of last year, with the release of two limited edition scents - 'Orange' and 'Cucumber.'

We are receiving the sets in both the mens and womens versions of the fragrances. The 'Euphoria' set comes with a 30 ml Eau de Parfum and a 100 ml Body Lotion and the 'Euphoria Men' comes with the 50 ml eau de Toilette and the 100 ml Body Wash.

The Eternity sets come with 30 ml bottles of the fragrances and 100 ml shower gels and body washes respectively.

Hermes have once again started redistributing some classic Hermes fragrances, along with some brand new ranges. They have actually been delivered to us, and are ready for packing this morning. Many of the Hermes products have proved difficult to source over the years and it's been great to be able to obtain exclusive stock of them for our customers.

When I asked Tom, the general manager at Escentual what he thought of Hermes as a brand he didn't have enough to say:

"Hermes continue to fascinate us with their mysterious and contempory fragrances. Their latest ranges are what we come to expect from Hermes: original, stylish elegance."

I'm sure any fragrance fan would find it hard to disagree with that statement - oh,  and in case your wondering, Tom's favourite Hermes fragrance is Terre D'Hermes.

Caron have given a romantic twist to a classic composition, with their modern take on Violet fragrances of old.

Each flower in the Caron range has significance. The violet was chosen for its imperial qualities and its representation of 'secret love.' The 'secret love' idea stems right back to ancient Greek Mythology where Zeus ordered the earth to create flower which was worthy of Io, a beautiful girl he had secretly fallen in love with. He named the flower after her.

Violette Precieuse Eau De Parfum is released this April and retails at £39.00 for a 50 ml bottle.

Calvin Klein's new fragrance 'Euphoria Blossom' is coming to Escentual by the 5th of February 2007. We will be stocking the full range from the day of release with 30ml eau de toilettes starting at £25.00.

The fragrance is similar to the Classic CK Euphoria, but wheras the original Euphoria was inspired by the richness of the Black Orchid, Euphoria Blossom draws upon the delicacy and crisp freshness of the white orchid for its floral inspiration.
